The Heritage
Cigars have been part of this port longer than most of its buildings.
Galveston was a working port before it was a beach town — tobacco moved through here, and so did the people who knew what to do with it. Carlos Cabeza carries that lineage forward: the oldest cigar name on the island, run the way it always should have been run.
For years, the cigars came first and the room came second. That's been corrected. What stands today on Cove View Boulevard is a proper lounge — a walk-in humidor kept at exact humidity, tufted leather that swallows you whole, brass fittings, and low pools of light designed for an unhurried evening.
We stock boutique imports and roll our own private-label blends. Nothing lands on the shelf because a distributor pushed it. Somebody here smoked it first, and if it wasn't right, it never made the shelf at all.
